A Declaration Over Your Home: A Prayer for Landlords

A while back, I was dealing with some difficult tenants and reached out to my pastors for guidance on what to say and pray over the home. Pastor Jermone Glenn sent me this declaration, and it brought me so much peace that I wanted to share it here for any landlord going through something similar.
Property Dominion & Blessing Declaration
A Prayer of Dedication, Authority, Protection & Stewardship
Father, in the name of King Jesus,
We thank You for this property and acknowledge that ultimately "the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness" (Psalm 24:1). Thank You for entrusting this property into her hands. Today, she receives it with gratitude, responsibility, and faith, and dedicates it to You and Your purposes.
Your Word says, "Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you" (Joshua 1:3).
Therefore, as the lawful owner and steward of this property, she takes responsibility and authority over what God has entrusted to her. She declares that this property will be governed according to godly wisdom, peace, righteousness, and good stewardship.
We Declare Spiritual Authority
In the name and authority of King Jesus, we renounce and reject every ungodly spiritual influence associated with this property's past.
Whatever occurred here under previous ownership or occupancy does not determine what happens here now.
Every influence contrary to the peace and purposes of God is commanded to leave. Every spirit of fear, confusion, violence, strife, destruction, torment, or oppression has no welcome here.
This property is dedicated to the Lord.
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over this property.
We Declare Protection
According to Psalm 91, we declare the protection of God over this property, its owner, its tenants, and everyone who enters it.
"He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11).
Father, command Your angels concerning this place. May Your protection surround this property day and night. Guard every entrance, every dwelling, every person, and everything entrusted to this property.
Let it be a safe dwelling place.
We Declare Property & Provision
Your Word speaks of Your people receiving "houses full of all good things, which you did not fill" (Deuteronomy 6:10-11).
Therefore, we thank You for the gift and stewardship of property.
May this property be productive, profitable, preserved, and properly maintained. Provide every resource needed for repairs, improvements, taxes, expenses, and future expansion.
Let there be no unnecessary loss, waste, destruction, or lack.
May what You have placed in her hands increase and become a blessing to others.
We Declare Peace, Prosperity & Favor
We speak PEACE over this property.
We speak PROSPERITY over this property.
We speak PROTECTION over this property.
We speak PROVISION over this property.
We speak FAVOR over this property.
Let peace be within these walls and prosperity within its dwelling places, according to Psalm 122:7.
May this property appreciate in value, produce good fruit, and become part of a greater legacy.
We Pray for Great Tenants
Father, send the right tenants, people of integrity, responsibility, peace, and respect.
Give the owner wisdom and discernment in selecting those who will occupy this property.
May the tenants care for it as though it were their own. May rent be paid faithfully and on time. May communication be healthy, agreements be honored, and relationships between owner and tenants be peaceful.
Let families and individuals who live here experience safety, stability, rest, and peace.
May people be better because they lived here.
Final Declaration
This property is blessed.
This property is protected.
This property is prosperous.
This property is peaceful.
This property is productive.
This property is preserved.
This property is covered by the favor of God.
We declare that what happened here before will not dictate what happens here next.
A new chapter begins.
May this property become a place of peace instead of turmoil, provision instead of lack, safety instead of fear, and blessing instead of burden.
The Lord has entrusted it into her hands, and she will steward it with wisdom, excellence, integrity, and faith.
We dedicate this property and decree these blessings in the mighty name and authority of King Jesus.
